Four Peaks Soapery

I'm a mother to five energetic children and I love to make soap.

It all started when I made my first batch of soap with breastmilk I had frozen from my smallest child. From there, I kept going and going - small batches, during the kids naps and late at night when they were asleep.

What you put in your body is just as important as you put on your body. I use clays for natural color, fruit purees, raw milk from my local, grass-fed dairy, and in some cases, essential oils for scent. All of my soaps are made through the cold process soap making method - which includes a variety of oils and butters, fruit purees, and additives (such as pine tar, for pine tar soap). I take pride in refraining from the use of fragrance oils, and synthetic ingredients that aren't skin friendly.

Unlike other competitors and soaps you commonly find on Amazon, I do not use melt and pour soaps and brand them as handmade. Handmade, cold process soaps require the very best, ethically sourced ingredients along with time - to commit to anything otherwise would be sacrificing the very best in what your skin deserves. When you purchase from a small business you are supporting that ethical approach to skincare. Certainly, the rise of Amazon and other low-cost retailers give way to a host of substandard products that might be less in cost, but at the sacrifice of being authentic skincare.
