Spiced Pumpkin Soap is a very unique creation -- made with Pennsylvania Dutch Pumpkin Spice Liqueur, pureed pumpkin, skin-friendly oils to include beef tallow.
This soap is only available while supplies last - I was lucky enough to receive several bottles of Pumpkin Spice Liqueur - once those bottles are gone, this soap will no longer be available (until next Holiday season!)
This soap is very similar to my regular Pumpkin Soap - except it's made with liqueur. Using liqueur in soap is a very challenging task because of the sugars/alcohol. Nonetheless, it's fun - because the scent of the liqueur travels through the saponification process and makes for a really unique soap - while I don't use fragrance oils in my soaps, this soap does have a scent that's hard to explain - and that scent comes from the liqueur.
Each bar takes on a light orange hue due to the natural color of pumpkin.
Note: At the time that these pictures of the soap were taken, the soap was a bright orange. However, that color can and will gradually fade, even just days later. Natural purees (like pumpkin) don't always hold their color too long in soap - so don't be alarmed if your soap is a pale hue of orange - it's still packed with wonderful skin-loving ingredients and pumpkin puree.
Ingredients include: Pennsylvania Dutch Pumpkin Spice Liqueur, distilled water, saponified oils (pastured beef tallow, castor oil, olive oil, coconut oil), pureed pumpkin.
This soap is not suitable for anyone who is vegan or vegetarian. I am a fierce advocate of the nose to tail philosophy. Rendering suet from beef (and turned it into tallow) is a wonderful way to honor the life of the animal long after the animal is gone. Moreover, tallow is especially wonderful for skin.
