Handmade in small batches, this Piñon Osha Salve is made with wild harvested Piñon Pine sap/resin from the high mountains of Northeastern New Mexico and Osha Root that is ethically harvested in Española, New Mexico.
Piñon Pine (also known as Pinyon or Pinus Edulis) is found in the Four Corners area of the U.S. – Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico with a range that has expanded into the surrounding states and Northern Mexico.
This salve is made by taking ethically harvested piñon pine sap and infusing it in cold pressed sunflower seed oil over low heat for an extended period of time. The infused oil is then infused with wild-harvested osha root before being strained, and combined with beeswax before being poured into tins/jars.
Note: This salve is offered in a 2 oz. reusable screw-top tin or, in a 2 oz. black, matte glass jar (for those who are more eco-conscious).
Ingredients include: New Mexico Piñon Pine Tree Sap, Wild harvested Osha root (Ligusticum porteri), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Beeswax (Cera Alba). For external use only.
