This handmade, solid, conditioner bar is formulated to restore moisture and shine to hair. It is best paired with a natural shampoo bar (see those available in my shop).
These bars not made via cold process - instead, they use more specific ingredients each chosen for a unique purpose. I wish I could detail the benefit for each of these to hair but I cannot do that on Etsy. Please read about them online.
~~Cocoa Butter
~~Cetyl Alcohol - a fatty alcohol and emollient
~~Olive Oil - another nutrient-packed emollient
~~Vitamin E
~~Vitamin B5 - a powerful humectant
~~BTMS-50 - a conditioning, emulsifying wax
~~Optiphen - a preservative, that is paraben and formaldehyde free
Each bar is:
~~Approximately 2-3 oz.
~~Individually wrapped with name, weight and ingredients (NO plastic!)
~~Natural ingredients
There is no right or wrong way to use a conditioner bar. However here are some tricks to using them successfully.
~~This is meant as an alternative to rinse-out conditioners. It will help support your hair with moisture and shine. For a deep treatment, however, I would suggest a hair mask.
~~Apply this bar after your shampoo stage to damp hair (rather than wet hair).
~~Use your wet hands to rub the bar between your palms - the bar will start to melt, collect a good amount and then apply to the hair in sections, working from the ends to the roots.
~~For a thicker, creamier conditioning experience, use less water, applying the conditioner through your hair.
~~Leave in hair 3-5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
~~This bar will NOT SUD. Each bar should last several months, but can vary based on use.
To store, keep away from direct sunlight. If bars are used with water, they need to be completely dry prior to storing. While a preservative was formulated within this bar to provide good protection from mold, the bar must be kept dry between uses to prevent further mold, bacteria and fungi from developing.
Lastly, conditioner bars such as these are higher in cost. They are not made via the cold process soap method -- they use different, more unique ingredients that are considerably much, much more costly. That cost is reflected in the price of the bars being significantly more - however, the good news is that each bar will last a considerably long time.
Note: These bars are unscented, which means there are no essential oils nor fragrance oils within. However, they do carry a natural scent of cocoa butter. Should you have an aversion/sensitivity to cocoa butter, then these bars are not for you.
