This soap combines Myrrh Resin (not incense - this is the actual resin) with tallow, castor oil, coconut oil and olive. The result is a soap with a thick lather (as a result of the sugars in the resin) and gentle natural scent.
Using resin in soap requires a significant amount of steps ~ to make this soap, I took the resin and ground it into a fine powder. The resin is also infused in the olive oil that is within the soap recipe as well. Making soap with resin is not a quick process - moreover, soaping at the wrong temperature will not churn out a good bar. Resin has sugars and sugars heat up the soap batter pretty quickly so it's a delicate balance of using a reasonable amount of resin and soaping at a really good temperature.
Since the bar uses resin-infused oil in addition to resin powder, the bar has a thick lather. Additionally, while the resin is used, the soap is kept unscented - there has been no added scent, but still holds the natural scent.
Also: this soap is not suitable for those who are vegan or vegetarian.
Ingredients include: distilled water, saponified oils (myrrh infused olive oil, coconut oil, beef tallow, castor oil), myrrh resin powder, colloidal oats. Unscented.
Net weight: 4-5 oz.
