Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica) is a traditional way to support skin.
There are many fantastic qualities of Gotu Kola ~ I'd love to go into greater detail but I am limited to what can be disclosed here on the Etsy platform. I would highly encourage you to research Gotu Kola.
This Gotu Kola (Pennywort) is grown locally through aquaponics - which couples aquaculture (raising aquatic animals such as fish, crayfish, snails or prawns in tanks) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water). I then hand harvest, dry, and then infuse in Extra Virgin Olive Oil over a long period of time.
Because this Pennywort is hand harvested at its peak, the salve is only available in limited quantities. Plants then regenerate and at that time, more can be hand harvested for infusion and more availability.
**Note: No artificial scents or fragrances have been added to this salve. This salve is created with organic, dried, Gotu Kola infused in Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Fresh Gotu Kola (a member of the parsley family) has an aromatic odor, slightly reminiscent of tobacco. Dried Gotu Kola takes on an herbaceous scent.
