I love using fruit purées in soap, and this soap is no exception!
Plantain bananas are popular in my area, and I thought it would be fun to create a soap with puréed plantain bananas.
Plantains are the less sweet, starchier equivalent to the banana. They are grown in tropical countries like Central and South America. Unlike regular bananas, plantains are cooked before consuming and are rarely, if ever, eaten raw.
These bars are made with puréed plantains in addition to castor oil, coconut oil, olive oil, and beef tallow. The natural starches (sugars) in plantain bananas contribute to a very creamy bar with a rich lather.
These bars have been kept unscented.
I strive to avoid using palm oil, fragrances and artificial colorants in my soaps, instead, keeping things as simple (and natural) as possible.
Each bar comes wrapped and labeled with the soap name and ingredients.
Ingredients include: distilled water, saponified oils (coconut oil, beef tallow, olive oil, castor oil), puréed plantain bananas.
Net Weight: 4-5 oz.
