When you think of Arizona, dry, desert heat and cactus probably comes to mind. While Arizona does have hot weather and cactus that dot the landscape, you will also find Mesquite trees in abundance due to their ability to grow in such a dry climate.
Mesquite trees are slow-growing trees that need little water to live. They are also a good source of nitrogen, which helps other plants around them. There are around 45 different species of Prosopis (the scientific name of mesquite). The wood holds a sweet smell, which is why it is often times used to smoke meat.
However, Mesquite is also a superfood - it was and has been used nutritionally and medicinally by Native Americans for years. In this case, it has been used to create this gentle soap that's great for skin.
Wildcrafted mesquite pods have been ground into a fine powder and added to soap along with a little bit of New Mexico wildflower honey.
These large bars have been left unscented, perfect for anyone looking for a gentle, skin-friendly soap. Each bar comes professionally wrapped with name of soap and ingredients.
Note: This soap is not vegan or vegetarian friendly. Please read my shop story to see why I find tallow to be so important for skin support.
Ingredients Include: distilled water, saponified oils (pastured beef tallow, coconut oil, castor oil), mesquite powder/flour, local New Mexico wildflower honey. Unscented.
Net Weight: 4-5 oz.
