Desert Chaparral (Creosote) Body Butter
Those of us in Arizona know the distinct desert smell after a fresh rain. It smells incredible.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That smell is due in part to the chaparral plant - also known as the creosote bush.
Chaparral is a desert shrub that grows in Mexico and the southwestern United States. Some of us are lucky enough to have it in our backyard. It has a unique fragrance that is very strong and carries the scent of a fresh, Arizona rain.
Mexican herbalists have long valued it for treating eczema and other skin conditions. We combined tallow infused jojoba oil along with grass-fed and finished tallow to make this rich, luxurious whipped body butter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Grass-fed & finished tallow is wonderful for skin, rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, and is easily absorbed. It closely resembles the human skin cell structure, making it ideal for nourishing and healing dry, chapped skin.
A little goes a long way!
